Empowering you to reach a mutually fair solution so you can move forward with confidence.

What is Mediation?

Mediation is a confidential and voluntary structured discussion, helping people who have separated to plan for their future.

Each person will have their own wants, needs, and visions for the future. Mediation can assist you in exploring ways to work together and resolve your issues to find your best way forward for you and your children.

Mediation can be a valuable tool for individuals looking to navigate challenges and find a path towards resolution. It offers a safe and supportive environment where you can explore different perspectives and work collaboratively towards finding the best way forward for both parties and any children involved.

Will it work for me?

In 2019, the Family Mediation Council  found that Family Mediation enjoys a success rate of approximately 70%. So yes, mediation really does work!

This is Mediation will help you find a child focused tailor made solution which can work for you. Mediation is significantly less stressful and quicker than going to court, and may save you money.

Ultimately, family mediation empowers you to make informed decisions and find amicable solutions that prioritise the best interests of your children. This collaborative approach often leads to more satisfactory outcomes compared to adversarial and often distressing legal proceedings.

Online MIAMs.

The first meeting (also called a MIAM or Mediation Information & Assessment Meeting) is a remote meeting which can take around 45 minutes to an hour.

This is your opportunity to tell the mediator about your situation and discuss the issues to be resolved. The mediator will also inform you about the mediation process and other methods of alternative dispute resolution.

After the meeting, the mediator will provide you with their assessment of whether mediation is a suitable option for your case. You can then make an informed decision on whether it is most best for you to proceed with mediation or to explore viable alternative options.

Friendly Professional
Mediation Services

Hello! My name is Tanya and it is lovely to meet you. I specialise as a Family Mediator and I always have a cup of tea on the go.

I am also qualified in civil, commercial, workplace, and community mediation; but my passion is in helping families and communities to move forward in the smoothest way possible.

The wellbeing of your children is always my priority in helping you reach the best outcome.

I have worked with children and families for many years, including as an OFSTED registered childminder, and with CLOCK Family Court Support. I currently work within the Family Court system alongside my mediation work.

My heart lies in enabling child-focused Family Mediation to help you avoid the stress & acrimony of Court Proceedings; making things easier for you and your family.

I am a member of the Family Mediation Council, Resolution, and the College of Mediators.
